Easter Time

Just thought I'd throw in a couple pics from Easter.

We had a good time this year. The kids found what the easter bunny left them, then we went to church. After church we had a candy hunt at my parent's house. Then it was off to Lake Shore to Cole's family's house and we had an easter egg hunt there with all the cousins, it was a lot of fun!

Hiking Coyote Gulch in Escalante, UT

So on Friday and Saturday i headed down with a group from church to do the Coyote Gulch hike in Escalante, Utah. We were staying overnight and hiking 12 miles, so we had to bring backpacks...this was my first trip like this and so I attempted to pack light, but now I really know what was unneccesary and just added weight. My pack was one of the heaviest! It was a fun hike (except for a bit of a rock climb at the end that really scared me)...but overall the trip was fun and I really enjoyed it.

Easter Eggs

I cannot believe Easter is this Sunday!!
Last night we invited our cousins Austin and Sierra over to color Easter Eggs! Shyler and Sierra had a blast, and Easton and Austin just made messes. Hahaha. Nena (their mommy) and I had fun visiting and helping the kids! Zoey just wanted to eat them!

Diaper Cake

I wanted to post this picture this morning, but was afraid the recepient of my gift would see it if I did. (And I was right, she was on my blog this morning!!) So here it is...I made her a "diaper cake". I got the idea from "Homemade by Jill"..but i added my own touches. She is having a little boy, and her nursery is jungle/safari themed, so I made a jungley cake with a cute monkey on top. :) Cole even helped me roll the diapers! how sweet is he?!

Breakfast and Pictures

Yesterday morning I was sitting at the table with the kids eating cereal and had to pull out the camera. I haven't been taking near as many pics as I used to and so I had to snap a couple...especially with Shyler's bedhead! :)

Sewing Projects

Lately I've been really interested in sewing. I don't have much time to spend getting better...but I've tried out a few things...The bibs and baby shoes patterns I found on a blog, (see my fun blogs: Homemade by Jill)..and the Quillow I did from my mom's pattern for a friend's new baby. I'm still a beginner for sure, but having fun creating things for my friends!
