Things get interesting when the sun goes down...

Do you ever sit on your porch at night and just observe the neighborhood? If you are like me, you hole up in your house, go about your nightly routine and never think much about what is going on out in the dark....
Last night I was talking with my neighbor and as we were out in my front yard, moon shining down on us... It seems we have quite the happening neighborhood after dark! Teenagers racing up and down the street in their noisy and annoying trucks (Seriously, one truck went back and forth about 10 times over the course of an hour). Cats wandering about. We saw neighbors taking evening walks with flashlights. And do you realize how visible you are to people outside when you are in your house with the lights on? hahaha.... makes me think twice about walking through my kitchen at night semi-clothed...are my shades thick enough...doubt it... hahahaha.

Fall? Where are you?!

It's still so hot around here! The radio this morning said it'd still be in the 90's this week! It's comfortable, but geesh, it's almost October and I'm ready to make soup and yummy dinners that require cool weather! :)
Life is going good...although lately I've wished for more time to spend with my family. Life is slipping by me so quickly and I feel like all I ever do is work. :( Don't get me wrong, I love my job and I am SO grateful for it....but I can't help but feel like I'm missing out on so much...How do I balance it all!?
Cole has been out scouting alot and his big bull elk hunt starts on Wednesday. I don't know if I'll have any time to go up and spend time with him. :(
I've been dying to get into my mom's pottery studio and make some things...but again...when!?
Someone please tell me how to add more time to my days and how to fit it all in!

16 bottles of Pear on the wall...

I decided to bottle my pears...it seemed the easiest thing to do... I began immediately after getting home last night- cutting and peeling the pears. Shyler wanted to help too...she's quite the little peeler. :)
I think I finished around 8:15 or so... took forever! Just for like 16 jars... oh well, it's worth it I guess... Friday there will be a big peach bottling party at my mom's place.....here i come!
