Summer = Swimming!

I've begun taking the kids to swimming classes with the same instructor we used last year. She's so great! If you want her info, let me know. The kids are loving it. This is Shyler's 2nd year and Easton's 1st. Easton is picking it up SO fast! He's doing just as well as Shyler! They just LOVE going to swim class and each time they get braver! I guess after this i'll start taking them to the public pool and hopefully getting them to swim without help. These classes have been great to give them the basics and help them get rid of their fears!

I love Easton's little arm in this one...

Eight Years

Cole and I have been married for 8 years today! 8 years!!! A lot has happened in 8 years.....

Year One... We were married on June 8, 2001 in Mapleton. We lived in my parent's basement apartment, both working and not a care in the world...

Year Two...we were sealed on August 2, 2002 in the Manti Utah Temple! Bliss! Oh yes, and we also purchased our home that year....not so blissful paying a mortgage..haha

Year Three... We had our beautiful daughter Shyler. Cole was SO protective of her. Nothing sweeter than a Daddy and his little girl. :)

Year Four...Hmm...

Year Five...Just living and working, and loving being parents...

Year Six...Easton was born! A boy and a girl...Luckily I got them both, cause Cole is DONE! haha. Easton was a much easier birth and it's so fun to have him!!

Year Seven...Crazy time with two!

Year Eight....We're here!

Oh my...I know we have done lots of fun and great things, but nothing means more to me than my husband, and the two precious angels he and I share...That's what I measure my life with...

I love you Cole!

The Zoo

The Zoo on Memorial Day? Are we crazy? Why yes, YES WE ARE! Seriously though, although the parking lots were all packed and the line to get in was nuts...inside, it really wasn't that bad! The kids had a good time, and we did the whole zoo in like 3 hours or so. It was great!

Easton's 3rd Birthday

Sunday was Easton's 3rd birthday! His tricycle we got him last year is struggling to keep up with him (he's quite the speed demon)...so this year, we got him...

a BIKE! (a Spiderman Bike!)

He loves it! (and yes, we are smart parents, and he got a helmet too.)

It had been raining all weekend and I was bummed, because I planned to have his birthday party as a BBQ at the park...Someone up there must love me, cause the weather broke and the sun came out! Yea! We headed to the park, where family met us to have a BBQ.

Well, my good fortune was short lived. About an hour into the party, the black clouds started rolling in, and the wind picked up. We scrambled around gathering everything up and got in our cars just as the rain began to fall again. We finished the party up at our house.

And here are my cutie nephews...Clip is 8, and he's holding Timotayo. And I managed to catch a smile! Timmy is quite serious, so catching him smiling so big is quite a feat! :)

My BIG little girl...

So, Shyler has hit a milestone...she's graduated from preschool...She soon begins her journey in elementary education....Time goes way too fast! She loved her teacher Miss Brenda...so much in fact, that I found myself that evening, holding her in my arms while she sobbed and said she already missed Miss Brenda. It broke my heart. Shyler lately has really shown how fragile her little heart is. And I've found as a mother that when her heart is broke...I feel it also....

Photos Photos Photos

For Mother's Day, Cole's mom wanted new pics of the grandkids...so I borrowed my mom's camera and my 3 sister in laws and their kids headed to the park.

Here's the collage I put together for my mother in law of all the grandkids. (starting bottom left and up and over: Shyler, Easton, Destri, Jadee, Hayden, Briley and Korbin)

I thought I'd make one for my mom as well.

And just a fun one I made for Easton and Destri...they'll be embarrassed for this later in life...but for now...it's just too cute :)

We took Cole's deer to our friend Shane who is an incredible taxidermist. Here it is at this weekend's taxidermist's show at Cabelas. Shane entered it into the Master's Division and won first place! Shane also won best Mule deer for it. He did an amazing job. Cole is SOO proud to have it.
